Scotland journey

This year we had 3 suggestions for the journey of the end of year. There was Prague, Barcelona or Scotland. My friends and I choose Scotland. We went on Saturday 18th march. That was a really great journey. It was extraordinary... Really fun!!
We left Chimay on Saturday at 9a.m. and we took the ferry in Amsterdam at 4p.m. The name’s boat was “King of Scandinavia”. We crossed the night on the boat and it was an interesting experiment. There was many think to make on board: Pub, cinema, shows...We didn’t be bored!!
We arrived in England on Sunday morning and we still had to drive before arriving in Scotland. On the afternoon we had a guided tour in Edinburg. We walked on the street and the guide told us histories. After that we went in a charming inn. Welkom was great, people were really nice and the food was very good.
On Monday morning we visited a distillery, Edradour. That is a unique single Highland malt whisky. After a free meal we went in Pitlochry and we discovered a superb castle: the Blair Castel. That was really interesting.
We took back the road on Tuesday morning and we arrived on board at 4p.m. The following day we continued us road towards Belgium and arrived at the 4p.m. Scotland is a really beautiful country with its magnificent landscapes. We had the opportunity to go for a walk in Highland and it was very nice. Boys washed themselves during two days in a row in the frozen river. The conclusion is that we met nice peoples and we discovered a great culture. I will go back to there.

My profile..

My name is Aline and I am 17 years old. I was born in Chimay and I live in Cul-des-Sarts. My favorite sport is tennis. I practiced this sport during six years but I had to give up because my mother couldn’t drive me to my club in Rocroi. My proudest moment was when I won the championship of French Ardennes. It was exciting!! I am in my village’s brassband too. I have played clarinet for 6 years. It’s really great… When I was a child, I learnt painting. During the holidays, I work every year at the " Trappiste de Chimay".
I went to Cul-des-Sarts for my nursery and my primary school. After that, I went to Chimay for my secondary school. I was two years in a Latin section then I was two years in a scientific section. Next, when I was in 5th, I had to choose a double section and I took “French-Science” and today I am still in this section.
I have always dreamt of living in an English-speaking country. So I wanted to go to the States one year but my parents don’t agree. I am thinking of studying logopedy in Bruxelles but I don’t really know. My motto is … we never know.
